The 2012 Christmas SCKO Tournament is coming up fast!

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:
Date: Sunday, December 9th
Location: OSULA Dojo, 3921 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Studio City CA 91604
7:30 am – Arrival time for kenshi, sensei and volunteers
-we would like to ask everyone to please help setup the courts by 8:30am
9:00 am – Begin Tournament
**Please bring your own Lunch**
INDIVIDUAL DIVISIONS:
Non-Bogu Matches: Single elimination
Non-Bogu – Boys & Girls 10 and Under
Non-Bogu – Youth 11 to 18
Non-Bogu – Adults 19 Years and Over
Competition format for non-bogu is as follows:
Men, Kote, Do for the first match, Kirikaeshi for the second match,
and Kote-Men, Kote-Do in final match. Winners will be judged by Shinpan.
Kendo Matches: Groups of 3 Round-Robin matches, followed by single elimination Tournament
Youth 1 – Boys & Girls 8 Years and Under
Youth 1 – Boys & Girls 9 and 10 Years Old
Youth 1 – Boys 11 and 12 Years Old
Youth Girls – 11 to 14 Years Old
Youth 2 – 13 – 14 Year Old Boys
Youth 2 – 15 – 16 Year Old Boys
Youth 2 – 17 – 18 Year Old Boys
Adult Kyu – Men & Women 19 Years and Over
Woman’s Dan – 15 to 32 Years Old
Woman’s Dan – 33 Years and Over
Men’s Dan – 19 to 35 Years Old
Men’s Dan – 36 Years and Over
TEAM MATCHES*: Single elimination
Senpo : 12 Year Under Boy or Girl
Jiho : 18 Year Under Boy or Girl
Chuken : Woman, Any Rank
Fukusho : 19 Year Over, Under 2 Dan Boy or Man
Taisho : 3 Dan Over Boy or Man
*Team Rosters: Each dojo will make their own teams and may two teams.
Dojos may combine with other dojos to complete a team.
