Taro Ariga Sensei (Canada) and Sandy Maruyama Sensei (USA) both competed in this historical event.

8/27/2006: Kendo Day Camp

Butokuden Kendo held its 1st summer day camp with more than 60 people attending.

5/28/2006: SCKO Memorial Day Kendo Tournament

Butokuden Kendo sent 8 teams (3 kenshis in each. team) to this tournament. The tournament was held at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach.

Our fellow Butokuden instructor passed away on Feb 17, 2006. This is for memories of a man who never stopped fighting until the last moment of his life.

11/19/2005 ~ 11/20/2005: Japan Expo

Butokuden and e-bogu jointly performed and coordinated all martial arts events in Japan Expo 2005. More than 1,000 pictures!

10/9/2005: SCKO Tournament

9 Kenshis represented Butokuden at SCKO (Southern California Kendo Organization) Individuals Tournament. This was the first attempt of Butokuden Kendo Team to send Kenshis to any individual tournament. The attempt went very successfully and the team brought 4 trophies back to the dojo.
