Q1.What is Pilates?
Pilates is the innovative way that you can get better results than exercising separately to combine Mind and Body and control through exercise.
Your body would be hard but limber and beautiful and will be difficult to be tired practicing precisely.
We place great importance on stretching the unconscious and small muscle around bone.
The basic of Pilates is Centering, Control, Flow, Breath, Precision, and Concentration in both using exclusive machine and mat.
Q2.What are the differences between Pilates and Yoga?
Purpose: Strengthens core muscles, and aims for a balanced body.
Breathing technique: Uses intercostals breathing in Pilates.
Q3.What is the core muscle?
The core muscles are the deep, internal muscles of the abdomen and back such as Transverse Abdominus (TA), Obliques, Back Extensors, and Pelvic Floor Muscles.
Q4.How did Pilates start?
In 1920’s, Joseph Pilates, who is born in German, developed the method for soldier’s rehabilitation in England. At that time, he called it Contrology.
Q5.I am not flexible. Can I start now?
We recommend especially people like you to start. You will be more flexible gradually.
Q6.I have lower back pain. Can I start?
As you develop your core strength, you develop stability throughout your entire torso. This is one of the ways Pilates helps people overcome back pain. As the trunk is properly stabilized, pressure on the back is relieved and the body is able to move freely and efficiently. As your body learns to move correctly and regains symmetry, headaches, pains in your neck and shoulders may also alleviate.
Q7.I haven’t exercise for a while. Can I start?
Pilates is a very adaptable method of exercise. All exercises are developed with modifications that can make a workout safe and challenging for a person, men or women, at any level from rehab patients, pre/post-natal moms to top athletes.
Q8.Is it true Pilates make us lose weight?
Any form of exercise will aid in weight loss. The practitioners of Pilates find that adding lean muscle mass and losing fat results in leaner, longer looking limbs.
Q9.Do I have to exercise everyday?
No. Considering the muscle recovery time, it is ideal to practice Pilates two to three times a week.
Q10.What do I need when I go to Mat class?
A Yoga mat. Come in not-too-loose exercise outfits.
